Description
In 1969, to commemorate one hundred of Gandhi’s Birth, RBI issued its first notes featuring Mahatma Gandhi. Unlike the present series of notes, in this series the Gandhi can be seen on the Observe of the notes sitting in his ashram with symbolic charkha in his hands.
The note was signed by RBI Governor, L.K. Jha.
